Miguel dressed up as a USPS postman and William dressed up as a UPS driver. We went to The Little Gym’s fun Halloween Carnival to kick off our weekend of Halloween festivities. After posing for photos on the front porch, we headed to The Little Gym. William fell asleep in the car and slept the entire carnival on Miss Lisa’s shoulder…he woke up as we were walking to the car. Poor little man missed it all, but Miguel was sweet enough to share his loot with him.

William turned THREE years old today. For a couple of months he has told me he wanted a Dinoco cake with a race track. For those of you not in the know, Dinoco is a gas company in the movie Cars that Lightening McQueen dreams of being his sponsor. I stayed up the majority of last night (as in till 4am) to make William’s Dinoco cake with the race track, but every single minute of lost sleep was totally worth it. When he saw the Dinoco cake this morning, he was thrilled. He was so proud of it…all day long kept asking to be picked up so he could see it then proudly exclaiming “my Dinoco cake”!

Happy 3rd Birthday to my sweet William!

One of the many incredible things about Miguel’s school is being able to take part in the many activities and events that occur at the Science Museum and Fair Park. Each year the classes go to watch the raising of Big Tex in preparation for the Texas State Fair.

William and I joined Miguel’s class to wait for Big Tex to be lifted by crane and placed in his spot for the Fair. He is huge and it is quite an undertaking. The kids were in awe, and if it is something you have never seen you must witness it at least once.
